Dress them
in wonder.

"small hands reach
for what we give them —
give them beauty."

Original art. Original poetry. Every garment hand-printed by the artist himself. Human DLX is a monthly clothing subscription for infants and toddlers, made by a grandfather who believes beauty changes children.

One person.
Every word.
Every image.
Every print.

My grandkids call me Pops. It's my last name too — Uesugi — and somewhere between those two meanings, this brand was born.

I write every poem. I make every piece of art. And I print every garment myself, by hand, one at a time. There is no factory. There is no team. There is just me, the press, and the belief that what we put on our smallest humans matters.

I started Human DLX because I wanted my grandchildren — and every child — to grow up surrounded by real art and real words. Not licensed characters. Not brand logos. Art that asks something of them. Poetry that gives them a feeling before they have the language to name it.

Every edition is limited because I can only make so many. Every piece is numbered because each one is genuinely singular. When you subscribe, you're not ordering from a warehouse. You're receiving something I made.

US Edition 2601

Tentickles January 2026 · US 2601/300
Cutoff: January 10th

Made by hand.
Delivered monthly.

01 — Creation

Pops writes, draws & prints

Every edition begins with a poem, then art made in response to it. Pops pulls every print himself on organic cotton — 300 pieces, one press run, never repeated.

02 — Subscribe by the 10th

Your spot is locked

Subscribe by the 10th of the month to receive that edition. Your card is charged immediately. Subscribe after the 10th and you're in the following month's drop — no edition is ever skipped.

03 — Pops packs your box

Assembled by the same hands

After the cutoff, Pops prints, numbers, and packs every box himself. Two tees, hoodie, fleece, patch, trading card, stickers, poem card, and signed certificate. This is not a warehouse.

04 — Ships Feb 1–7

On its way to you

Boxes ship in the first week of the following month — 3 to 4 weeks after the cutoff. Tracking sent when yours leaves the studio. Open it slowly. Read the poem aloud.

Example
Subscribe Jan 8 → charged immediately → cutoff Jan 10 → Pops prints Jan 11–31 → ships Feb 1–7 → arrives Feb 7–14.
Subscribe after the 10th? You receive the February edition instead — no edition is ever missed.

For the parent who
believes creativity matters.

You enroll them in music. You take them to museums. You read to them every night. Human DLX is the wardrobe that reflects that intention — clothing made by an artist, for a child, with care that a factory cannot replicate.

When Pops prints a garment, he thinks about the child who will wear it. That is not a marketing line. It is simply what happens when one person makes something for another.

Hand.

Hand-printed

Every garment printed by Pops himself. One press, one pair of hands, 300 prints.

Art.

Original art

Every image is Pops's own — drawn, refined, and printed with no intermediary.

Org.

Organic cotton

GOTS-certified, CPSIA-compliant. Gentle on new skin. Chosen with intention.

Poem.

Original poetry

Pops writes every poem from scratch for every edition. Words made to outlast the garment.

Common
questions.

Everything you need to know before subscribing. If something's missing, reach out — Pops reads every email.

When will I be charged?+
Your card is charged immediately when you subscribe — not at the end of the month. Renewals are charged on the same date each subsequent month. There are no surprise charges.
What is the cutoff date?+
The cutoff is the 10th of each month. Subscribe on or before the 10th to receive that month's edition. Subscribe after the 10th and your first box will be the following month's drop — you'll never miss an edition.
When will my box arrive?+
Boxes ship in the first week of the month following your cutoff — typically 3 to 4 weeks after the 10th. You'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking as soon as yours leaves the studio. Allow 3–7 additional days for delivery.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes — you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account portal with no penalty and no hoops. If you cancel before the 10th of the month, you won't be charged for the upcoming edition. If you cancel after the 10th, your final box will still ship.
Can I skip a month?+
Yes. You can skip or pause your subscription from your account at any time. Skip requests must be made before the 10th of the month to take effect for that edition. Skipped months are not charged.
How do I choose my child's size?+
You'll select your size at checkout. Available sizes are 0–3M, 3–6M, 6–12M, 2T, 3T, and 4T. If you're between sizes we recommend sizing up — all garments are cut generously. You can update your size preference at any time from your account.
What if my box arrives damaged?+
If your box or any garment arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we'll make it right — either a replacement piece from our reserve stock or a credit toward your next edition. Every box includes a reserve for exactly this reason.
What is your return policy?+
Because every edition is hand-printed, limited, and numbered specifically for your subscription, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on delivered boxes. Each piece is made to order — there is no inventory to return to. If a garment has a print defect or quality issue, we will replace it. If you have a sizing concern, please reach out before your next edition ships and we'll update your size on file.
Can I buy a specific edition I missed?+
Once an edition closes it is gone permanently — no reprints, no reorders, ever. This is the commitment behind the numbered certificate. However, Patron subscribers receive access to our archive, where a small reserve of select past pieces is occasionally made available. The only guaranteed way to receive every edition is to stay subscribed.
Do you ship internationally?+
Currently shipping within the United States only. International editions — beginning with Japan — are in development. If you're outside the US, join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to know when your region opens.
Are the garments safe for infants?+
All garments are printed on GOTS-certified organic cotton and are CPSIA-compliant for children's apparel. Inks are water-based and non-toxic. Every blank is selected specifically for softness and safety against infant and toddler skin.
Who makes everything?+
Everything — the art, the poetry, the printing, the packing — is done by one person: Pops Uesugi. There is no team, no factory, no outsourced production. When your box arrives, every piece inside it was touched by the same hands that made it.
Still have a question? Pops reads every email. Reach out and you'll hear back within a day or two — from the artist himself.
